Success PNM Renewable Tech

The PNM Renewable Technology Success Award is available to CNM students in the School of Applied Technologies preparing to graduate and enter the workforce. Applicants must demonstrate their coursework in “renewable resources” or “green industry” curriculum to be considered. Awards of $1,000 may be used for such items as certification or testing fees, equipment, tools or other expenses related to entering the workforce. Eligible students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits for the current term, majoring in the following programs: Advanced Systems, ARDR, AUTC, AVMT, CARP, CNM, DETC, GIT, ELTR, HVAC, MATT, PLMB, and WELD, completed CNM Graduation application, demonstrated coursework in a program field related to “renewable/green” curriculum, immediately plan on seeking employment in field of study upon graduation, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need. Students must write a personal statement addressing the following: personal and academic accomplishments, what type of ‘renewable/green’ curriculum have they learned in their program and how will that aid them in their future employment? And how will this award help them transition into the industry. Students need to request a letter of recommendation from an instructor in their program of study.
