Access to College Education

The Access to College Education Scholarship Endowment has been established through the CNM Foundation to support a foreign born, low income college student who does not qualify for federal financial aid and is enrolled in an associate degree or certificate program. Funding is limited. Eligible students must have a 2.5 or higher GPA or have received credit for the majority of their courses below 1000, have a completion rate of 66.67% or higher, and be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours. Students must write a personal statement about themselves, your involvement in the community such as church activities, social activism, and/or other volunteer activities, why they have chosen their major, their educational goals, and how their education at CNM will help them. Students need to request a letter of recommendation from an instructor or achievement coach. Students need to provide self-reported income and number of people in household. Students must sign a statement affirming that they are foreign born, low income college student who does not qualify for federal financial aid.
