NM Scholars

The objective and purpose of the New Mexico Scholars Program is to encourage outstanding New Mexico high school graduates to attend college in New Mexico. This scholarship makes it possible for New Mexicans to pursue their studies and develop their talents at New Mexico institutes of higher education which will benefit both the student and the state of New Mexico. Applicants must be NM high school graduate, must be top 5% of class either Junior or Senior year or have an ACT score of 25 or higher, be enrolled in a NM institution prior to 21st birthday, be a NM resident, and have a total combined family income of less than $60,000 as determined by the FAFSA or otherwise documented. Students need to upload an official record of ACT score of 25 or higher or a high school transcript indicating rank in class either junior or senior year.
Each scholarship is for a period of one academic year. The scholarship may be renewed annually until the award recipient has received four annual scholarship awards or until the student graduates from a four-year institution, whichever is earlier
Income will be reviewed to determine it does not exceed $60,000 per year.
