Success HWPS Scholarship Endowment

The Health Wellness and Public Safety Success Award is available to Central New Mexico Community College students receiving an Associate’s Degree in any Health Wellness and Public Safety program. This award is intended to help an outstanding student either continue their education or find employment in their field. It will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated a commitment to improving their future through education. This scholarship is awarded to the top applicant based on CNM academic history, strength of personal statement and future goals. Applicants must be graduating in Spring with an Associates’ Degree in any Health Wellness and Public Safety program, not received a Bachelor’s Degree, be financial aid eligible, have a 2.5 GPA or higher, completed at least 50 credits towards degree, and applied for CNM graduation in Spring. Students must write a personal statement of two pages or less addressing their goal of transfer to a four year institution, plan for obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree or employment goals, and how their associate’s degree from CNM will help them reach their goals. Students need to request a letter of recommendation from an instructor in the program area of study.
