Toler (James) Endowment

The James P. Toler Scholarship Endowment has been established through The CNM Foundation to assist students interested in a career in Surveying who are majoring in Surveying Engineering or Surveying Technology at CNM and taking Surveying or GIS classes. Eligible students must be enrolled in Surveying or GIS classes, maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA, be taking a minimum of 6 credit hours, and students intend to pursue advanced studies in surveying at NMSU as evidenced by their enrollment at NMSU or other institutions offering a similar curriculum or complete the requirements for obtaining a certificate in Surveying Technology or an Associates of Science in Surveying Engineering from CNM and enter the workforce upon graduation. Students must write a personal statement about themselves, why they have chosen a career in surveying, their educational goals and intention, and how completing their program at CNM will help them reach their goal. Students need to request a letter of recommendation from a GIS or surveying instructor.
